Four days of shows. Performances. Meetings. Films. Breakfasts. Thefts. Workshops. Snacks. Parties.
„ It was really hard to organise all these things. Hundreds of papers to fill in and visits at various offices – says the chief arranger- Malwina Czajka. – „But every edition of the festival attracts more and more people!” Volunteers willing to participate in the festival were devided into 3 sections: - Logistics. This section dealt with almost everything starting with opening doors , letting people in, putting things in order of importance and finishing with arranging everything. - Press. This section aimed at writing reviews on watched films and photographying the festival course of events. - Information. This section informed guests about crucial points of the program. But what is this festival about? It is a very exceptional event where critics, filmmakers, producers, bloggers, journalists, translators, directors, university graduates, kids, moms, dads, grandparents, uncles, friends, haters, architects, footballers, workers, politicians, clerks, policemen, firefighters, gardeners, can meet and talk. Moreover they can watch films („Commune”, „Eden”), take part in meetings („Actor and Critic”) and workshops („How to talk to the creator”, „Film analysis”, „Video-essay”) or just have fun. 7th Film Critics Festival „Camera – Action lasted three days, from 6th to 9th October 2016 and took place in two venues. In the „Wytwórnia” cinema and in the legendary Lodz Film School – the oldest movie school in the world! At the Lodz Film School you can study at one of the four basic departments: Film and TV Direction Department (direction, film editing, screenwriting), Direction of Photography and TV Production Department (direction of photography, animation and special effects, photography, television production), Acting Department (acting) and Film Art Organization Production (film and television production organization). We hope that the next festival edition will attract even more people and it will become popular in foreign mass-media as well.
